I started working with Chris because I desperately needed some help with my career options, after experiencing high stress and burnout in my current role as a frontline senior social worker. I couldn't really see what my way out of the sector would be and although I knew I had some transferable skills, I wasn't able to really quantify what they were or where I would even begin to change career. Chris' approach was kind, empathetic and encouraging, but very practical too. He was able to see things that I couldn't e.g. when I was thinking about certain roles being a 'maybe' and dithering over derails, he detected something that would ultimately make it a yes or a no, which was the push I needed. He also gave advice and tips on how to use AI to search for roles, which has been so helpful and as someone who was a bit fearful of AI, I am much more confident using it now for this purpose. It was too much to take on myself to have to adapt CVs manually for different roles, so I am grateful for his advice on this. Overall, I have left the sessions feeling much clearer on what roles would suit my skill set and more confident on how to approach job applications.
